Marlo Stanfield Wasn’t Just a TV Character… He Was a Real Person… After Serving 36 Years In Prison He’s Here to Tell His Story…

Few television characters have left an impact quite like Marlo Stanfield.

As the ruthless kingpin from HBO’s The Wire, Marlo became one of the most feared and unforgettable figures in television history. But while millions know the character, far fewer know the real man whose life helped inspire the legend.

Now, we’re proud to bring that story to OG Network.

The Marlo documentary is now streaming, taking viewers beyond the fiction and into the life and legacy of the real Marlo Stanfield.

The Man Behind the Myth

This isn’t another documentary about The Wire.

Marlo takes an intimate look at the man behind the character, exploring the choices, circumstances, and experiences that shaped one of Baltimore’s most infamous figures.

The film features interviews with the detectives who ultimately brought him down, offering a rare perspective from both sides of the investigation. Their firsthand accounts paint a picture that’s far more complex than anything seen on television.

After spending 36 years behind bars, Marlo reflects on the decisions that changed his life forever, the lessons he learned during decades of incarceration, and what his legacy means today.

More Than a Crime Story

At its core, Marlo isn’t just about crime—it’s about consequences.

It’s a story of power, survival, redemption, and reflection. Rather than glorifying the streets, the documentary examines the real human cost behind the mythology and asks viewers to consider what happens long after the headlines fade.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of The Wire or simply appreciate compelling documentaries, Marlo offers an honest, thought-provoking look at the realities that inspired one of television’s greatest crime dramas.

Now Streaming on OG Network

We’re excited to add Marlo to our growing lineup of documentaries that celebrate culture, uncover untold stories, and give audiences a deeper look at the people behind the headlines.
