Ice-T — the legendary rapper, actor, and Grammy-winning artist — has teamed up with media executive Courtney “Big Court” Richardson II to launch a new streaming platform aimed at giving independent urban storytellers a global stage. The service, called OG Network, debuted recently with strong early engagement and a mission rooted in creator ownership and cultural authenticity.

Designed as a free ad-supported streaming platform (FAST and AVOD), OG Network is built to spotlight urban culture, independent films, documentaries and original series that are often overlooked by mainstream entertainment outlets. The platform is available in 186 countries around the world on major streaming devices including Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, iOS and Google Play.

Big Court — best known as the host of the Holdin’ Court Podcast on Revolt TV — founded OG Network with the goal of giving creators control over their work and the revenue it generates, something he says has been missing for too long in entertainment. “The culture drives the most influential content in the world,” Richardson said, “and with OG Network, the culture finally controls the narrative, the distribution and the future.”

Ice-T’s involvement brings both star power and historical perspective to the project. As a pioneering figure in hip-hop who has navigated music, film and television over several decades, Ice-T’s voice underscores the platform’s emphasis on authentic storytelling and creator empowerment.

The platform launched with a slate of original and exclusive programming, including “Somebody Had To Say It”, a weekly series co-hosted by Layzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Big Court that features candid cultural conversations and commentary. OG Network also released the documentary “Put The Guns Down — A World Epidemic”, executive produced and narrated by Ice-T, which explores the global impact of gun violence from a culturally grounded perspective.

In addition to documentary and discussion series, OG Network’s early offerings include independent films like “My Cherie Amour,” starring Omar Gooding, and the exclusive Holdin’ Court Podcast library. These titles anchor a growing collection that the network plans to expand throughout the year with new original and curated content.

By centering urban voices and creator ownership, OG Network positions itself as more than just another streaming option. It aims to be a global hub where creators control their work and communities see their stories reflected authentically.
